The legacy scheme is the Pension Scheme before the (current, 2015) Pension Scheme – the 1995/2008 Scheme, which we call the 1995 Scheme and 2008 Scheme (technically they’re Sections). Anyone who joined the NHS Pension Scheme before 1 April 2015 will have Legacy Scheme pension and now 2015 Scheme pension.
The McCloud Remedy means affected members have a choice between their Legacy Scheme and the 2015 Scheme for their pension during the Remedy Period. Part 1 of the remedy Rolled Back Remedy Period membership to the member’s Legacy Scheme.
