Pengage's MemberZone
What is Pen-gage's MemberZone?
Since August 2023 we’ve been running a Facebook Group to provide free help and support for public sector pension scheme members. It now has more than 24,000 members. From this experience, we know there is strong demand for further help, information and support on NHS Pensions without (or before) people needing one-to-one paid-for support.
We’ve developed a wide range of material and information – the MemberZone. You have access to online guidance and support with the information already online plus regular member-only webinars and instructional videos.
We realise that in a perfect world, this wouldn’t be necessary. But when your pension could be your most valuable asset, we believe it’s really important that you have complete and accurate information when you make life-changing decisions. So, we’ve put all this together with explanations, in one place, online.
What's in the MemberZone?
The MemberZone already has lots of information on:
- Overviews of the NHS Pension Scheme and the various sections – 1995, 2008 and 2015, each colour-coded
- An explanation of how McCloud and the rollback will affect you
- How flexible retirement works, what to consider and the forms you need to fill in
- A summary of how to boost your benefits
- Regular videos and webinars on relevant topics
It will also allow you to ask questions online and seek specific guidance, and will be constantly updated.
It doesn’t include one-to-one support or any modelling beyond the included self-help calculators.
Who is it for?
MemberZone is for people wanting to understand NHS Pensions, normally their own NHS Pension(s).
MemberZone may not be suitable for:
- Practitioner members – the legacy scheme information currently available does NOT include the practitioner schemes
- Northern Ireland and Scottish (SPPA) NHS members – the Schemes are the same but there are process differences, different forms, slightly different early/late retirement factors and income tax rates compared with England and Wales
- Non NHS pension scheme members – this site is currently suitable for NHS members only

What does it cost?
A membership subscription for our MemberZone is for a minimum of one year and can be paid
- as an annual charge of £100
- as a monthly charge of £8.50 (which is £102 for 12-months)
