MARS is a special scheme where you, as an individual, agree with your employer, to leave employment and get a leaving payment (called a severance payment). Your role should be filled after you leave – the aim is to create vacancies that can be filled by others.
It isn’t the same as Redundancy when the number of roles are reduced (and not filled after you leave).
