Abbreviated to IDRP or DRP, this is the formal complaints process for a pension scheme. For the NHS Pension Scheme you should use Form DRP1 to make sure you have given the scheme all the relevant information
There are 2 stages. At Stage 1 a Disputes Officer will look at your complaint and tell you the outcome within a target of 2 months. If you’re not happy with the Stage 1 review decision you have 6 months to ask for Stage 2 where a Disputes Manager will look at your complaint, again within a target of 2 months. If you still disagree, you can complain to The Pensions Ombudsman (TPO).
