Our pension benefits can change when changes occur elsewhere, we can help you to understand the impact of any change on your pension and whether this may mean you need to review your plans.
Changes can include taking some of your pension whilst still working, promotion, salary sacrifice options, changes in working patterns or moving employer.
Pensions tax support
Pensions Tax is complicated and can be a source of anxiety.
We will work with you to understand your Annual Allowance position and identify any actions you need to take, including from changes due to the McCloud Remedy.
We can also help look at future decision points to ensure you are making informed decisions.
McCloud Remedy change
For those in a Public sector Scheme on 1 April 2012 and still in on 1 April 2015, the McCloud Remedy (also known as the Public Sector Pensions Remedy) means a choice at retirement of which scheme some of your pension is from.
The remedy has “rolled back” pension benefits to the older scheme on 1 October 2023 for those who haven’t yet claimed their pension, leading to changes to Annual Allowance calculations.
Immediate Choice options are being sent to those who are already being paid their pension.
