About
Pen-gage
The pensions industry has been trying to improve engagement for years. This has often led to a focus on compliance and detail, which has actually disengaged people.
In 2018 we created Pen-gage to do it differently. And it’s not as hard as it seems. Our focus is to get people to take action, not to sell them anything.
We are successful because we make a difference. This led to our small firm being Highly Commended in the category of Financial Education Provider of the Year at the 2021 Workplace Savings & Benefit Awards.

Who We Are
Meet the team
Laura founded the business in 2018 because she realised that employers and trustees who wanted to improve employee/member engagement rarely received the help and support they wanted.
Prior to this, she was Head of Training & Support Services at MyCSP, where she led the team delivering high quality engagement sessions to in the Civil Service employers. Her early career was in pension administration which gave her a strong technical insight into how benefits are calculated and the concerns members have.
Laura delivers education sessions on mid-career, pre-retirement and pensions taxation. She regularly carries out one to one sessions with senior civil servants and NHS employees on how best to manage their Annual and Lifetime Allowance issues.
She lives just outside Newcastle upon Tyne with her husband Peter.
Rachel has worked in financial services for 20 years. Prior to joining Pen-gage in June 2022 she worked for Legal & General as a Senior Administrator in the Self Invested Personal Pension team. She has a range of CII qualifications giving her a firm technical grounding to the work we do.
Rachel is the Business Manager which means she will manage webinar bookings and provide administration support to Laura, Nigel and Amy.
She lives in Burgess Hill, Sussex with her husband, two children and four guinea pigs which keep her busy. She also volunteers at the local community pantry to support people struggling with food poverty, is a committee member of a school PTA and usually has rainbow, pink or purple hair.
Gilly has over 15 years’ experience in the technical and educational aspects of the NHS Pension Scheme. Prior to working with us, she worked with the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Pensions Technician.
Gilly has experience in delivering presentations on technical aspects of the NHS Pension Scheme to groups from 10-100 attendees. She has already made a significant impact at Pengage in supporting on individual calculation work and presentations.
She is a Psychology graduate and lives in Lincoln.
