Auto-enrolment support for employers

A small and flourishing IT business had recently expanded and employed several new people. The business owner needed help and support to understand their auto-enrolment obligations and put in place a suitable arrangement for their expanding workforce. They were concerned that this would distract them from their core business at a crucial time and potentially expose them to the risk of non-compliance. We worked very closely with them so that they now have:

  • A fully compliant auto enrolment pensions arrangement with a suitable provider;
  • A robust payroll process, including an opting out process;
  • A workforce who understands what their employer is providing, and;
  • Employment contracts which refer to the pension arrangements being offered.

Our worked involved liaison with the Pensions Regulator, with their chosen pensions provider, and with their employees. Crucially, we worked very closely with the employer to understand their values, objectives, and aspirations so that the arrangements were consistent and proportionate with them.
